was talking to an ex butcher who used to buy his lambs out of the auction. He does our home kill so asked him what a carcass was worth. He reckoned through the butchers shop he would treble its value. Doesn’t matter if they’re £200 to him he will retail it at £600 etc. I’m not worried about the price collapsing, it’s about time we had a good do!

In the bad times of feed wheat being around £80 odd a tonne which is not that long ago I was selling lambs for more than the wheat.
