If they do use it, thats the same as admitting the 1 they currently use is rubbish
No, it means that Agco think it's no longer cost effective to build a completely different CVT gearbox for a smallish number of tractors in one of their brands.
They chose to rationalise and concentrate on the most popular CVT gearbox.
I would see them doing the same with their manual/powershift gearboxes, if they can get GIMA sorted out, or concentrate on Valtra gearboxes and sell their share in GIMA.

Sat in an 8s last night at the dealers open day. I thought the cab was great! heaps of space, quality feel and good visibility. Looked good on the outside aswell with the big tyres on it. Not that I will ever be in the market for one!

I think they have moved the key around to the side of the dash?

7s210 looked a neat powerful tractor.

and the 7S is a good bit lighter isnt it?
I wish they would make there mind up n leave some stuff alone in them all.
One flaw with the key on side post god help you if you have any other keys attached to its loop/keyring
Ooppppps they never seen to think of that blunder.
So has it moved away from folks knee under dash on 8S then?

Using that logic you would also feel that the Deutz motor Fendt used was rubbish also now that they are replacing them with SISU.
The crucial difference to that point is that agco owns fendt and sisu, thus wanting to us the inhouse engine and keep the money inhouse rather than giving it to deutz. But as for the transmissions agco owns both the fendt and valtra designs and manufacturing plants

Have one and to be honest not the best but unlike many on here I am happy enough to admit the failings of machines I own, once they get a proper vario in them I think they will take a bit of beating tbh.
Will have the same guts as mf so wont be much different, the fendt still will have the edge as its no rangeless

their technicians should be top notch look at all those different engines they get to work with ... deutz, liebherr, man, agco fpt in small alpine range ..WOW if was at agco i would tell Juha Tervala do what deere did copy the D 976 CONSTRUCTION ENGINE FROM LIEBHERR. put it in the ideal 10 , katana 850,...Then throw the latest seven cylinder engine in the next version of the 9s

Not that I'm ever going to buy an 8s but can you check the oil in the back end of a Massey now? or is the dipstick still in the same place since the 3000 series.
