Must admit & iam a massey man id look at the Valtra Q series long before an 8S
There the same engine with the vario trans & backend fundementally underneath just i think a neater more integrated 5post cab, that Combine Cab on the 8S isnt right at all
Yeah, Valtra did a better job with 8S/Q series, they dropped the underpowered 205 & 225 and stuck to a proven gearbox, the Valtra cab and body work seems to fit better on the frame than Massey's.

If they're making a new cab , I hope they get the doors right this time! Move the bottom hinge out like all the other manufacturers, then the door self closes! Instead of having to pull yourself off the seat fighting the gas struts wrenching your back every time. Always been a pet hate of mine with the cab frame design from way back from the 6100 series

Someone told me valtra is dropping there own direct cvt soon and will be fitting the fendt vario unit. Would this be correct?
That tells you everything doesnt it, the fendt sourced cvt no matter what those think they know about cvt,s or dont know is a quality unit.
Not saying that the likes of Deere & CASE ones aint but the Valtras own isnt the best.

its a sharp slam too shut them right enough.
dont know if there is much improvement after it went frameless & the current doors glass has a slight curve to it more so much better locking mechanism tho.
Still could be worse its a better cab door than the 3000 series ever was.

Am not wanting to jump on the fendt bandwagon.,... (Got my hands up):censored: But you gently pull on a fendt door, or a JD for that matter and they just gently close themselves.
The Massey door is a pain in the back, specially if you're a stock farmer. Not too bad for arable lads who shut themselves in there for the day!
It is just literally a case of moving the lower hinge out, I don't know why they haven't done it. The plus side is I suppose the hinge is internal so doesn't seize up

what do you think of the new 800 cab? I like it but but but just to many lights on the back corners , unless you are hooked up to zell's planter just a bit of overkill 7.9 thumping lump of sis u will turn the sod though.
