Is there a better place to source wood shavings for our broiler chicks in the brooder? Currently buying at £10per bale retail, its a bit of a killer. Right now I'm thinking best plan would be to buy a couple pallet loads at the start of the year. Thanks

Fair point, might not be worth it, I'll look into it. Theres plenty spare material around the farm so it shouldn't be an expensive job to put up a small silo or bin, as long as it saves a decent chunk of money to make it worth while.

Compared to 25kg bags or tote bags, its alot cheaper to have a wagon blow it into a bin of some sort, so if I can, I want to aim for that
