I run a small flock of broilers during spring and summer, usually raising them on organic feed then selling finished birds direct to customer.
Retailing my birds helped absorb some of the price increases this year but I can't see the point raising any broilers next year if feed is the same or higher.
Earlier this year one of our feed reps had some fairly bleak forecasts for 2023 prices for conventional feed, and even bleaker for organic.
What are the current forecasts for next year?
