Well folks, currently doing up the Perkins 4cyl turbo engine in an MF 4355. Engine was pressurising the sump etc and had a stuck ring so its getting new pistons, rings, liners etc. My question is what torque should the head studs on this engine be set to and also what order should they be...
Well folks, currently doing up a round axle 135 and have had to get a new grille, it came in what i presume is just black primer, so has anyone here ever painted one before as i'm wondering what is the best paint to use and what is the best way to go about it

. So I was out tonight working on the 135 again and I came across a slight problem when trying to re-refit the rear split oil rope seal retainer, the new crankshaft is in and all the bearing caps, thrust washers etc. refitted and the new gasket on that goes between the block and the oil seal...

I was close to doing that but I then found out it had been overhauled quite recently so I left it and if any problems occur I will do the the rest. Although I might still have the head of to replace the gaskets
A LOT of new parts bought there! New link arms, check chains, crankshaft, trunion pin, hoses, bushes, bearings, levelling arm, some gauges etc. Got the front axles bushes in tonight.

Yes everything is sitting out in the order, just wondering do all the nuts and bolts on the bottom of the con-rods and the bolts that support crankshaft bearings etc. Need to go in the same place they came out or will they be ok in a different order
As far as I know they did not come with front linkage, there was an article in the Classic tractor (think it was the classic tractor) that said any front linkages were aftermarket
