Its gonna be great folks.

First ill setup a government headed by billionaires and buddies of mine and then ill drop taxes whilst going on a huge public spending spree.

New roads and bridges but no one will be able to afford healthcare but hey ho.

So much talk about the rust belt and bringing back jobs. The reason jobs left there is because they are miles from the ports, often farther from pools of labour or raw materials and the youth who would have been trained have been replaced by machines.

Its precisely the same in parts of the UK.

No Trump supporters would be at work not the trendy lefty liberal elite of 2009 who don't think they have to work

Trendy lefty liberal elite?

And you think Trump is a hardcore republican born again christian who is not elitist? You know most of his senior administration are actually billionaires in their own right, many of them with little political experience and rather a lot of 'prior connections' which could be construed as a serious conflict of interest to say the very least?

Shall we take Scott Pruitt as an example, Trumps newly selected muppet who has been sent to head up the EPA. The EPAs self declared mission statements are:

The mission of EPA is to protect human health and the environment.

EPA's purpose is to ensure that:

  • all Americans are protected from significant risks to human health and the environment where they live, learn and work;
  • national efforts to reduce environmental risk are based on the best available scientific information;
  • federal laws protecting human health and the environment are enforced fairly and effectively;
  • environmental protection is an integral consideration in U.S. policies concerning natural resources, human health, economic growth, energy, transportation, agriculture, industry, and international trade, and these factors are similarly considered in establishing environmental policy;
  • all parts of society -- communities, individuals, businesses, and state, local and tribal governments -- have access to accurate information sufficient to effectively participate in managing human health and environmental risks;
  • environmental protection contributes to making our communities and ecosystems diverse, sustainable and economically productive; and
  • the United States plays a leadership role in working with other nations to protect the global environment.

All noble aims I am sure.

However, when we examine Scott Pruitt's prior political career, we see he is in fact just a lawyer, whose role was involving himself in cases of state and federal lawsuits, with a sideline of managing a football team.

Next he was involved trying to battle the legality of the Dodd-Frank bill, which was put in place following the 2008 recession, and placed major regulatory hurdles in the path of wall street banks to ensure greater financial stability and ensure investment bankers behaved more responsibly. You can expect Trump to overturn that in short order, basically allowing the banks a freer hand once again.

Also Pruitt has been involved in anti-abortion legal wranglings, where the aim was to greatly restrict the accessibility of drugs used during the procedure- a back door way of subverting Roe vs Wade and Planned parenthood vs Casey.

What next? Oh the guy is a self professed baptist who claims it is constitutional to distribute religious material into schools. So much for secularism.

Also the guy is rather cosy with a character from a company called Continental resources- a major company involved in on-shore oil and gas production, whose CEO at the time supported the guy for re-election.

So you have a hardcore Christian nut job whose is in deep with an energy company boss now heading up the EPA. He has no idea about environmental concerns and has not ever apparently had any official role in any issue or debate relating to human health or environmental protection. He is also a climate change denier.

Do you see where this is going?

You think this is a prime example of the liberal leftists elite being kicked into touch?

On the contrary, you will see the re-establishment of the Republican elite, and you will in fact see the widespread liberalisation of industrial and consumer protection laws, in everything from energy to investment banking. A liberal regulatory environment where you will be able to do whatever you damned well please because the EPA and other agencies will be reined right in all in the name of 'America first' apparently, whatever the cronk that means.

The other thing about Trump I recognise from my time working for an oligarch are the promises.

Things are never done. But there are always new and better promises.

No one turns up to your best inauguration ever? Spin it that they're working.

These are the sort of people who will claim nuclear devastation as a tremendous opportunity to rebuild for the future.

Why should we believe, a word you say, when you were 100% sure Trump wouldn't even win?!
