A good simple system but you wouldn't get far around here with that tractor. I looked up Springfield weather once months ago and it still keep popping up on my phone, it looks like winter is heading your way to, 23 C on Thursday, 9C on Friday, that's quite a change..

@Beef farmer 's been out and about playing with the D6 to start making those cow tracks. Cornwall's a bit steeper and rockier than some people realise.

If it doesn't stop fekin' raining soon those empty cows may not survive long enough to see the bulls again.

I saw that today too. Makes putting tracks in here look a bit tame!

Cull value isn't a much of a selling point for jerseys. They'd range from £70 for a suspect Johnes to £400 for a big fatty.

Call it the benefit of a drought? Farming a rock pile has to have some benefits, and free draining is one of them.

Yeah looks like a killing frost, swings like that are fairly common anywhere in the Midwest/plains states.

Some pictures from NZ having worked on the farm for 3 months over calving. Farm located in Canterbury 40/80 shed 530 cows. Calving went well apart from weather conditions at time. Travelling now hoping to find work in the South of South island in the coming weeks.

I really liked Southland and spent a couple of months on a great farm about half an hour west of Winton.

Everyone's phone numbers are listed in the white pages. I got my job down there by flicking through Dairy Exporter and ringing around any of the good looking farms they had articles on.
