NOCO GB150 - Amazon deal of the day

Didn't have long to wait to give it a whirl!

Case tractor decided yesterday that it wouldn't start when I wanted to move it. Cold weather not helping, despite having a new battery and starter not long ago.

Hooked up the GB150 - the voltage 12.5 immediately appeared on the "screen". Didn't need to press any buttons at all, just went round and turned the key. Started first time as if nothing had ever been amiss!

Thumbs up from me!! (y)(y)(y)

Not needed mine yet which is rare at our place.
Might leave lights on tractor to flatten battery :D
I’m shocked. For the benefit if the forum members I think you should go and flatten some batteries ;)

[I was expecting a full blown TFF torture test - like ten dead flat machines, no working glows, all cranked back to life in subzero temps, with no less than 80% charge left in the pack. Anything less would be classed a failure!!:p]

Oh dear! Fully charged mine when I got it, and went out yesterday to start a Landrover which had been sitting a while. Lit up saying 12.5 volts, then went down to 6 volts and wouldn't even turn the engine over. Just about to print the return label!

That's no good! Something wrong there perhaps?

Jumped tractor here twice so far - both times at 12.6 or so. Got a feeling I've got something wrong with the tractor to be causing trouble like that.

Was just going to post this morning how impressed I’ve been. Must have used it Nearly 20 times now and can’t fault it.

I did have symptoms like you mention @Barleycorn . It was showing 12v on the readout as though it was connected but Engine not turning any faster. Gave the connectors a wiggle and off it went.
Check they are making a good connection.

Yes, mine has also been deployed this week on some old and lazy nashers that sit outside but need to start. Well impressed. Thanks for the lead @Steevo

I've located mine behind the seat of the manitou, which is usually beside the casualty. It's connected to an ignition-on power supply. Is this good practice for battery life? Alternative was always-on USB, but didn't want to risk draining the manitou.

Hopefully it’s just a one off dud.

After you did the overnight charge (they do take 12+ hours to get fully charged with the little USB chargers - should really come with a bigger supplied charger I agree) did you switch it on to see if it was registering full charge on the LEDs - green to 100%?

In any event Amazon will refund or swap it for you. So no dramas hopefully.

Thanks for the replies. I thought that I turned it on, better check in the morning before I throw my dolly out of the pram!
Hopefully you won’t need it, but you’ve got a full 2 months to return or replace it via Amazon without question. Three clicks and you will have a post paid return label printed. Keep your inner anger pot brimmed up for a worthier cause (y)
