If you want a half decent tough case to put it in, I got one of these from Clas Ohlsen....just happens to be on discount too!

Thanks @Pheasant Surprise. There’s also one on Amazon I considered.

No worries. It’s no Peli but doesn’t really need to be. Pretty good for £20 odd. Haven’t checked it floats yet or run over it...
Does it come with full foam, and you cut the size holes you need?

Yep. Pre diced pieces. You pluck them out to suit the shape. It’s fine.

I think they ended up chucking in free delivery too. Not sure they’re doing it for this promo though.

The key advantage lithium ion batteries have is much higher energy density than lead acid. So for a given weight and volume they pack a much, much bigger punch. They also hold charge longer with very slow self discharge.

Disadvantage is the chemistry is more unstable and charging especially requires careful control with respect to temperature control - so they need integrated electronics to manage this.

On very large numbers of cells they need active cooling - in power tools typically air cooled (e.g Bosch Coolpack) or in vehicles like Tesla they are liquid cooled (and heated) which adds weight and complexity. When your pumping in 400 volts and over 100 amps (and potentially triple these figures) during a high power DC charge cycle this is very important.

Mines turned up today the way of charging it on the mains is a bit crap, you’d think it would come with a good big lead to plug in way not just a farty usb
Mines here too. Been driving all day so thought I’d take it and give it a good charge. Plugged it in and the warning light started flashing. Gonna have to get the bloody instructions out now to see what that means
