I run a hiab truck and the biggest palfinger Crane is a 200 tonne meter but will only lift 20 tonnes at 6 meters
So finding a hiab big enough maybe difficult

On a suitable level site ,static lift and set down, mobile column lifts ?
Spreads the load over a larger footprint than a forklift

Finally got the container onto site yesterday on the second attempt.
The first time we tried to transfer the 'tainer onto a plant trailer near the site but the trailer was too short and the tractor was being lifted into the air.
Yesterday we tried with a 34 foot flat hay/straw trailer and large massey tractor and it managed easily.
I made a 30 by 40 foot pad on site for the crane and we backed the triler along side , lifted up and swung it through 90 degrees to get to resting place, then cowling and silencers on top.
Silencers were 2 ton!

so after 7 pages you got a crane in :D(y)
Don't have a go at me for taking advice you twit!!!!!!!
I couldn't do it with a self loading truck as they can't handle 34 foot, only 20, 30 and 40.
In the end it was just practical (especially this time of year) to do it this way, it would have been easier if we could have got the crane when the frost was on but life is like that.
