IBC's value ?

I'm tempted to get a couple of the bottles stickered up with keep left signs, part filled with sand and dumped in the hatched area on nearby main road junctions at either end of our rat run road. - Too many eejits overtaking and entering the central turning waiting area 'coz highways haven't put bollards in, just a few stripes of white paint.
At least one fatality already ....

they are a bit like baler twine here, always finding new uses for them, and if we can find them under £25 clean and with tap are well pleased, the following are some of the uses we have put them to recently,
1water bowser ,i.e put a few on a trailer to act as water bowser for off lying fields
2 fit a ballcock in top and use as a tank for filling buckets for the horse liveries saves taps running over and saves time
3 cut top off sink in ground fill with concrete and use as footings for shed saves a lot of concrete
4take out of cage cut top off to various heights and use as storage of spares and other stuff that would have been just left lying around
5 take out of cage put a few drainage holes in bottom fill with drainage gravel 4 inch and cut 1 or more side partially away makes a field/yardfeeder for hay/haylage
6 cut top off fill with soil, stone, anything and line up to use as temp retaining barrier
7 cut top off and use for holding scrap wearing parts at the time of replacement then just tip when taking to scrap saves loosing them or picking them out of the nettles and pays for the lift pass ho ho
thats just a few things weve used them for im sure others will have more uses for them

I did wonder if you could use a stack of there IBC as a big bio filter for spray washings. Not sure what to fill them with but a tower like that would be a great filter I should think.
