I mustve been lucky, ordered mine and got no problem but that was back in October
Those are the same as the ones I got from AST but they are a bit more expensive. Mine were only £107 and that was including express delivery to NI. Maybe that’s partly why AST folded.
After the last two days I’ve decided it’s time for a new waterproof jacket! I’m swithering between the Kaiwaka winter one (I have the bibs and love them!) and the Betacraft Hurricane which is very similar. Has anyone got both who can say whether the Kaiwaka is worth the £80 more?

Can't compare but I can say I ordered iso940 parka and leggings from Abbeydale direct and received very prompt delivery
Saw on FB that outback outfitters are selling the betacraft waterproofs now.

I have the storm force jacket and even in this horrible cold that I’ve had here at home today if your working a long sleeve rugby shirt and freebie Collinson hat with the jacket zipped all the way was plenty warm enough while working. If rolling round on the quad or lamping I find it best with a hoodie on also
They really are amazing jackets, I give mine hell and it still looks new. I don’t think I’ll ever have anything else now. Can’t wait for a few pennies so I can get the bib and brace

Kaiwaka, not cheap but best money ever spent. I rate this jacket above my Redbacks and they are grand

If you have the extra £80 spend it on the kaiwaka. The material is slightly stronger imo.
By my take on it the winter one is fleece lined and has a big long tail on it to cover your arse more!

The winter jacket has the long tail on it, looks bloody stupid if you walk round with it unzipped, not very 'thick' but as I said you really don't need it to be it's well insulated and very breathable

Did any refunds appear from AST? I finally made it into my bank this morning to ask about a Visa Chargeback, one phone call later and at least the money is back in my account.
