Unfortunately this part of the magic vale needs rain for the grass to grow.
Are you farming one of the clay belts, or limestone, or both?

Thought you'd jumped the gun a little [emoji38]At least another 10ml overnight. Feelings of stupidity back down to normal levels
Poached top and bottom of field, utterly fed up now, especially after yesterday's TB testing, minimum of 6 going, after 2 clear tests,1st one of them disregarded.[emoji53] View attachment 807600
Yes , after all the predictions of 3 months dry weather and a desert , it actually has been a super growing time here in the Midlands ! And as you say ,the rain has come at just the right time too!At last some decent rain here. 14 mm for the whole of May, already 17 mm for June, over half of that yesterday. Plenty more on the way. That should have ensured that 2nd cut is sufficient and will keep the grazing round going. Big relief!
Lucky youWheelbarrow got left outside on Thursday morning Went to get it this afternoon and it was full of rainwater and overflowing onto the floor
