Drying out, again!

You not had much ? Or any
6ml
Truly truly pathetic compared to the forecast and what others have had not too far from here. Yesterday I stood and admired the silage we had made and began to think we might be able to sell the wheat we are growing. Today I’m thinking what a twunt I was to make so much silage off the platform and for looking up the value of feed wheat.
Tomorrow what everhappens will be a better day.

Thought we’d had a good soak today but turns out was only 8mm.
To think they gave us weather warnings for heavy rain and flooding too.
Still better than nothing. Fields starting to grow but many already going to seed again at only 2 inches.

Poached top and bottom of field, utterly fed up now, especially after yesterday's TB testing, minimum of 6 going, after 2 clear tests,1st one of them disregarded.[emoji53]

At last some decent rain here. 14 mm for the whole of May, already 17 mm for June, over half of that yesterday. Plenty more on the way. That should have ensured that 2nd cut is sufficient and will keep the grazing round going. Big relief!
Yes , after all the predictions of 3 months dry weather and a desert , it actually has been a super growing time here in the Midlands ! And as you say ,the rain has come at just the right time too!

A bit of relief for the water companies as well:)
