Listening to 'Costing the Earth' last eve. I know, I know, but! the EA tell us we are in desperate need of a very wet winter to fill our seriously depleted aquifers, due to three dry winters and the very high increasing extraction rates which will soon need to be restricted. As the EA man wisely said, "it's not an easy message to get across to folks who's sitting room is knee deep in foul water in the middle of winter"
