So last night while listening to BBC south today Chris Packham announced that food production would be limited as farmers can’t work the fields due to self isolation!!! When are the BBC going to realize this man has no idea about rural life. Has he not seen the big shiny isolation pods farmers have and have had for years ? They are called tractors and have filtered air in take and out let’s as well as bing made of cleanable surfaces. Farmers are possibly the best people to be able deal with isolation as most of us work alone anyway. Not sure why he can walk his dogs if we can’t work the land !!!!

should have known he'd be scare mongering and offering advice on a subject he knows f**k all about

life on a farm is "semi" lockdown anyway, does not take much of a tweak to make it full lockdown

trouble is, the public listen to this particular heap of d/shite - i'm in polite mood today, presumably he thinks all the imported food will continue to arrive. He really does not live in the real world. It will be interesting to see the effect on the vegan and vegetarian section, importing soya, or almond milk, etc, is not going to be the most essential basic. I have always thought the v& v movement was a 'trendy' thing. It could well be the next pub move, will be to cook 'comfort' foods, do well for the cull cow trade.

Well he is getting his wish with an illness that pretty much condemns the elderly and sick to a miserable death rampaging the globe at the moment..

Never forget, what is happening right now is exactly what he wants.

It’s just a pity that it doesn’t target those without empathy first....

Yep, I actually like CP in his natural history presenter role, but he is acting as a bit of a bell-end otherwise.

But I'm not sure how relevant the emboldened bit is to most I know, not around here anyway. (y)

Packham has also been quoted as saying he hopes the Covid 19 situation doesn't mean Governments let Global Warming slip down their list of priorities and that "natural habitats continue to be maintained"

Well, I'm more concerned about people dying this week than it getting warmer over the next few years. And wtf does anything "natural" need "maintaining"

The guy's lost the plot

He’s a first class knob thinks curing cancer would be a waste of time and doesn’t care about livestock having there eyes pecked out by over populated corvids

hopefully he gets corona virus
