And then this happened. Guess its going back to where it came from. Brand new. Got 45ha done and then this. Anyone got a good suggestion for a silage rake? Mergers are just too expensive since we need to import them from your side of the valley. No one selling them in South Africa yet. Need something that can get atleast between 10m together. That's interesting. Had a Google. Seems to be a strong area from Oyster bay up to Tsitsikamma National Park, though the farms are in-between large blocks of trees up there.

Lots of irrigation by the looks of it. Interesting to see paddocks divided up like pieces of a pie.

Yes all the centre pivot irrigation systems have water in the centre and camps run out from there hence it looking like a pie. Blocks of trees are pine trees and still quite a bit of natural forest left aswell.

we used, as an additive, one of the enzyme ones, at our area silage completion, we had the highest protien, 19 % with the lowest DM, 16 %, the amazing fact, you could, and we did, drive on it, without it moving at all, completely firm.
Put 2nd cut on top, and still no effluent ! Apparently, the enzymes 'ate' the inside of the leafs and stems, cows did fine on it, but we were not a repeat customer, our feed rep, never seen anything like it, and he brought a few more to see it !
