Yes, been waiting since July, the drill I was having has gained a few bits, so I suspect its now a different one coming, but on the plus side it now has liquid fert and £4k cheaper

Would it not have made sense to keep hold of one of the old ones until the new one landed?Only going off the short window we’ve had the past couple of years!Total clear out for a fresh approach

Still hard to believe many have been able to drill the last few days - after nearly 100mm here since Thursday it's impossible to even get pre-ems on stuff drilled a week ago. If the forecast is correct there will be plenty of land here that will not get drilled this autumn.
Is anybody rolling? Ours gone in well but thinking of leaving and rolling in spring.

Rolled all mine.
I’ve rolled everything bar one field, and that’ll get done if possible. Pre em spray gone on as well, as last year i missed to do the barley with the consequence of grass weed problems .

All home wheats finished, all 2nd wheats in. Well it's nearly October. Just need to cut some beans and get some oat seed delivered to be finished.

not rolled anything other than a trial bit just too wet and dont want to give it the chance to cap if the forecast rain comes, but some we drilled earlier today may get rolled in the morning as its been a great drying day here

So do I. 20 off percent today and drying charges eye watering, as it's contract.
Would have done, but the Freeflow was the last one left and I didn't fancy that if it gets to wet. If its not here in the next few days the agreement will get torn up and I'll either hire something of pick up a cheapish combi for this year. 1/2 the farm will be full of BG if I went this early on it

Although the photo does not show it very well, the clover has had 2lt/ha of a 480 glypho and is quite yellow and has stopped growing and I'm hoping that will hold it for now.
Will just have to see how it goes.

further to the earlier post the gamble is on, we have moved back10 miles to main farm just before dusk and drill is now 1/2 way across field number 4 , the gang is down to 2 from 3 as he started very early are up for going late the ph has just started on field 5 so reckon the odds have shortened as yesterday following a wet start a breakdown and a non drying day was 100-1. now im thinking we could be 5-2 . will have to work out which next !!

Got started this afternoon,I'm probably the last to start in my area.
Would have started a bit sooner but waiting for the Nutri-bio to be spread.
The 1st field hasn't had any spread so is handy for setting up the drill
