Had some barley in a week but seems slow to get going. Chitted but think rain and very cold last week won’t have it out as quick as usual at end of September.
Another non scientific experiment.

I drilled some untreated seed and some vibrance duo treated on same day in same field. The benefit of the vibrance duo is quite apparent at moment.

I'm not a fan of seed treatments but this seems quite effective. Unfortunately they are different varieties treated is mountain untreated cassia. So any yield differences couldn't solely be put down to seed treatment.

It's now got approval for spring barley too I think.

Just finished our planned autumn drilling as the rain came in, have got a few more fields that would plant but if this is the start of crap weather we are happy with what we’ve sown, glad to have the 6m sabre tine drill this year certainly let’s you get on fast.

My sabre tine tool bar is still In the workshop. Seems to have been the year of every plan being screwed up but maybe the next week of wether will allow me to get it going

Does it bring many stones up. That’d be my problem here with any tine drill.
neighbours now got a Claydon and spends some time stone picking

It does flick odd stones up that’s for sure, but we are lucky, home is on gravels so only small stones, and the rest is clay and loams so no bother for us, output is unbelievable and leaves a super finish very happy with it.
