Being a pessimist but what if theres a storm and the wind shakes it all out?

Do you still have to supply?
You would have to be a brave man to sell it forward up here. Hail showers or torrential rain never far away in august. 2 years ago there was a fair bit of swathed rape around that didn’t put much in the tank after weeks of rain.

I'm going to attempt growing some after winter barley this year. Never grown it before. Merchant was asking if I was interested in forward selling this week. No chance.

bu--er yet again ive sold too early , sold 1/2 the remaining wh at 212 beginning of week for movement may june now been bid 215 for asap mindst ive sold a lot more for less earlier since harvest in dribs and drabs. Dare I hang on next target £6500/ 29.5t load its been so long ago since this current scenario has presented itself ive almost forgotten what to do ?????

I wondered if the sudden shortage was partly that. In the NE suddenly there is none to be had sending prices into orbit. Spot delivered on Monday £192, by end of play today £205. Maybe nobody knows who owns what so nothing is moving. A lot of the end of season barley we get comes down from the borders, Inglis or Coastal grains stores, usually good bushel spring barley

im getting the feeling nobody owns anything other than a bit of paper or more likely a text
