Have you got a load of watched content? you should only get alerts for that and content you engage with. then as soon as you open that content, the alert is removed by the system.
No idea
On another point
When I'm scrolling down a page you have arrows at the bottom to go back or forward to the next page ,there don't seem to be any at the top like the browser, is that correct, ?

Hi Mo, what do you mean by that? They are loads of left and right swipe options. But I'm amusing you are talking about something different.
In the excellent tapatalk app you could swipe left and right to advance from page 1 to page 2. It was quick and intuitive, unlike the current app which is cluttered and complicated.

It would be a miracle if we could have built an app that everyone liked, imposible even

I hated tapatalk - but quite like the new app and find it much more functional and user friendly

its an option, web view is there for anyone not wanting the app, having just spent a small fortune developing this we are not about to start again

The problem is your starting point, you hated the very things that made Tapatalk great, which is why you've created a bloated slow app. Its basically a worse version of the website, its only redeeming feature is that it doesn't have the infuriating website feature where the advert loads two seconds after the rest of the page and shunts the rest of the page down just as you click the link you want. This "feature" has been pointed out many times but still hasn't been fixed! Its a sign of lazy web design. If the support for the app is as poor as the development of the website then we are in for years of mediocrity. I hope you haven't paid the app developers yet, if you have then you should be asking for your money back! Its slow, glacially so, it is difficult to navigate and loaded with features that no one wants. The app should have been lightweight, simple and quick to operate and it just isn't. Such a missed opportunity.

send me 100k and i will build you exactly what you want

everyone has an opinion and the vast majority that have used the new app so far seem to be feeding back that they like it

the issue you mention re ads loading last on webview is not anything we can control - tff uses 3rd party software that we are not about to spend millions rewriting anytime soon.

Seriously? You spent 100k on that app? They saw you coming.

Seriously the website cannot be written with a space big enough to load an advert? They really saw you coming.

yea what would we know about website development hey 🤣

i didn’t say our new app cost 100k - i suggested building one just for you would however

maybe direct your advice/ complaints re the Xenforo web platform ad loading to them directly ? - that has nothing to do with the app or us

or pay £3.99/months and go advert free which solves the problem

otherwise expect things to be as good as you pay for them

Sorry, I would have replied sooner but it takes this long for the app to load. 100k well spent.

Also, when you go into a thread to read new posts on a thread you have already read the new post is in the middle of the screen rather than the top. As per the attached picture.
