I had applied clik extra to lambs back in middle of may, I now have had first 2 lambs with fly strike around shoulders. Is it worth putting crovect in rest of lambs now?

Had a lamb with flystrike on the tail root on Sunday.

Had ewes in to take a few out of yesterday and noticed a ewe with a wee matted patch of fleece around the pin bone, but she wasn't twitching or anything. On investigation she had about six concentrated pockets of maggots in different places up her back and sides but they were still about 1/4 inch or so above the skin, presumably not long hatched.

Everything is near the yard and handy got in at the minute so we might wait a few days and see how many more cases we have across everything, but it's plainly perfect conditions for it.

Yes lost a few last year struck around now and still had to do them all with crovect. This time did them last week sooner than usual. Did the shoulders as well as the backs

2 ped tex gimmers struck behind shoulder today, first ewes since clipped in June
Just noticed a ewe struck tonight first one this year
We had 2 Lincoln tup lambs struck on their bellies the day before yesterday.

The ironic thing is, we've all had 'em covered for fly strike through all that hot weather when really the danger was very low as there was no moisture. Now, when we really need it, the feckin cover has worn off :banghead:
