tried screwdriver and stud extractor .... not sure what to try next, i dont want bits slipping down in....
Tapered end round file alittle smaller than the washer then "screw" it into the washer where the shaft thickens ;-0)
Got any hook tools ?yeah, trouble is ive Tried that same with a tap and stud/screw extractor of a fairly suitable size and it doesnt grab on the washer as much as on the edge of the seat
trouble is with cutting it ...its the bits im worried about...

tried that but he was blowing after i put him back, all the others were ok ,had them out to sort a bit of hydrolock

It will either throw the washer or the swarf
i dont think they work very well? tother type like a slide hammer with a tapered /threaded point might be all right , not a tool i would use very often tho.
It splays open pretty wide and a slide hammer can always be added on top!
the washer is back a bit from the inside edge and well flattened so nothing like that will work as theres nothing to catch hold of.
