Veg machinery

We are going to start growing a small amount of root vegetables to sell at the farm gate, we already have a customer base that comes buying other produce direct and they keep asking for veg. I was wondering if anyone has any old veg equipment tucked in the back of a shed that could be for sale. Small vintage stuff is the kind I was thinking, ridger, Ferguson planter type era?

Having spent a lifetime of being there and doing that I would very much recommend buying in from the wholesaler.
Any veg harvested by machine works out much better bought in. Potatoes, carrots, Swedes, onions etc.
There is a certain amount of skill in growing any veg and it can all go very wrong very quickly. It also takes up a surprising amount of time to produce, harvest and pack.
I am quite passionate about growing veg and often get the urge to produce enough for market but fortunately reality kicks in before I do.
Brassicas and leeks may be worth a try but it will definitely not be easy or a quick buck. I'd be buying in the very best I could find and even that requires knowledge that most don't have.
