Definitely he’s a top fella the business is just too bigger animal now.
know we weren’t happy with how we were treated once, made sure Geoff knew and he made sure we were seen right and rattled a few cages at depot too.
Funny cause I think you've said before who you had trouble with and he's my go to man to get things sorted

farmers need to understand a rep/company may not want to deal with you
not referring to you fendt516
Who wouldn't want to deal with farmers they are the most agreeable set of people you'll ever meet.
The salesman I think we're talking about has a customer not @Moorlands who he says when he's trying to do a deal with him will ring him at night and start going on about how much it is, he says best way is to put phone down on side sit down and watch coronation street and when it over pick phone back up and he's calmed down abit

Remember someone saying they won't deal with certain customers because they took up so much time after the sale that didn't earn them any money.🤷‍♂️

Wasn't agriculture, but certainly rang a bell when I heard it.
I know of dealers who will void certain customers if possible or put in a poor quote cos they don’t want the inevitable hassle, know of folks who are banned from entering dealer premises as well.

I try to be as easy as possible to do business with, @Dave W may disagree though😂😂😂

I tried that, emailed Geoff, didn't make much difference. It's the last time I'll bother.

I sound like a snob saying this, but don't really care.

Your better to go directly to top when ordering things nowadays.

Most salespeople now are just a go between. They come to farm take pictures. 📸

Email them to trade for bids. Then sales manager decides price.

Any bartering they've to go back to sales manager. They don't have responsibility to decide final price on deal.

This has just happened in past 10 years. The old school guys that would shake your hand and do a deal are gone in my experience.

Car dealers are the worst for that, running back and forwards to manager, may as well just send him out to do the deal.

stuff will sell and sell well.
I'd dare bet in some cases things sell for more than ripon had them advertised for
Nothing to do with this sale, but this happens all the time on ebay. List something at a sensible buy it now price, and it doesnt sell. Relist it as a 99p start auction and it sells for more than the original BIN price. Its called auction fever and theres a lot of it about.

Thats why i like my local red dealer, iv not always bought off them but if you ask for a price you get it and your dealing with the owners. The buggers would sell sand to the arabs. No coincidence theyve been going 170 year. As i say iv not had a problem with ripon but i dont know who our area rep is now.
Another local firm, well the rep never relly seems arsed, i get on well with him but he never seems to want to sell me owt untill iv bought it elsewhere.

I’ve started dealing a little with the Bentham branch.
Nice people, good to deal with.
