After some info on the above subject regarding product and placement .
Im thinking of applying something like the Omex 7-20 liquid starter fert behind a low disterbance subsoiler leg in a narrow row then some sort of coulter ( tine or disc ) to place the seed .
Is anyone doing something similar to this and if so what rate / configeration / depth have you found works best.?

This sounds ideal, and there has been lots of work done on liquid N placed near the seed, though I can't remember where it was published & how scientific it was. Try searching Farmers Weekly as there were a few articles involving Omex, Opico and Techneat kit/products.

I'd try and aim for the fertiliser just below or alongside the seed which is where many seed & fertiliser drills try & place solid fert.
