I know that I'm late to the party - it's a family failing. But can I add an EV fire in the channel tunnel to the list of risks? EV fires are supposedly rare but when they occur, they are exceptionally difficult to extinguish and they produce loads of heat and toxic fumes.

Being serious for a moment, I do think the UK is slowly killing itself with the level of state intervention and nannying we have drifted into. Virtually any kind of project in the UK is now wrapped around the axle with all sorts of bilge and it must be killing our competitiveness. I can't get over how quick many public sector organisations are to try and employ new people. They spend money hand over fist on staff like money is going out of fashion. The country is rammed to the gills with graduates with zero business acumen or life skills and we wonder why public services and private enterprise are both so hamstrung?
