Hello all, considering going down the Jimny route for farm use.
Looking for options on low ground pressure tyres and wheels.
Only a small farm so not worried about road handling.
Can't really find much myself other than the offerings from KAP, haven't reached out to enquire about price yet.

Anyone with experience in this department?

Not as big a foot print as gator tyres but I'd rather go in jimny. Gator gutless on hills . It's parked up and lads take jimny. And ag tax 😉

hi, what is it taxed as?
Surely limited use. Shame they didn't do a diesel as you could be on red. The MK1 Vitara is the same weight as the Jimny I believe. The long wheelbase came with a diesel engine but I assume that is more weight than the swb

We have a Kap jimny on the larger wheels.
Brilliant little thing quiet, cheap to Run and repair.
Tougher than a Gator/Ranger ours has got 130000 on the clock and only needed a couple of uv joints and king pin bearings.
If you dont need the big wheels, stick to road tyres, the steering gets a bit exited at speed with the wide tyres, but they will go anywhere.

Step 1- Buy one that isn’t rotten, mot check helps in that dept.

step 2- Throw rear seats away And make a MDF flat floor and 1/2 height bulkhead.

step 3- go down local tyre firm and get them to bang a set of Insa Turbo tyres on.

step 4- enjoy something that is not only better than a noddy buggy in every way but also a fraction of the price.

we’re in our 3rd year with a jimny, 3 springs, a windscreen and a back window has been the only repairs. Totally abused and off road daily. Scrapman will be the next owner once we’ve finally killed it and will then go buy another one and repeat.

Can’t really go wrong with the PD 1.9 engines they use in the Spanish jimmy’s

Are the tallest atv tyres not tall enough? There are plenty of mud patterns that will be unstoppable, just get a wheel manufacturer to make the rims to suit.
