Prattley v Rappa v Lamdquip

Any link to a lamdquip system? Google only comes up with sprayers which I don't think would be very good for handling sheep so now we've narrowed it down to between prattley and rappa
wise Agri are the importers they have a website!

There's uproar at the minute on the tracker thread on buying British. So out of prattley Vs rappa, it's got to be rappa surely. Same product under the label pretty much.
As to PortaYard. I followed one the other week and actually held back because I honestly thought it was about to fall apart. Looked very unstable on the road.

The fellas who sell rappa used to sell prattley
They copied the best bits, and improved the awkward bits. Rappa is therefore not only British, but actually better than the prattley original!
I've a 20yo prattley myself, and when it wears out, it'll be a rappa that replaces it
Though with them being so well built, that might not be for another 20 years

Out of prattley and rappa I'd go rappa. Out of all 3 I'd go landquip. Have one here that replaced and old prattley yard. Built like a brick shithouse. Tows very well. Easy to pay into road mode and hurdles help to stop ewes presurring them/jumping. Only gripes I've got are the gates could do with springs to hold them open. And if your vertically challenged then the race might be a bit high to hop in, but great for stopping lambs hop out. Eds a good bloke to deal with too.
Normally I would agree, but the blatant way they have copied and basically ripped off prattley means I will always go prattley. We complain about the Chinese ripping off western patents but we are a good hand as well. Also despite not having to ship them halfway around the world, rappa is no cheaper which again smacks of profiteering to me.Rappa!!

Prattley is not road legal
I'm not sure that's the whole story
I think that the Prattley patent ran out, terms as a distributor couldn't be renegotiated etc
Certainly when I approached Prattley to have an in line weigh system 15 years ago they said they would not adapt.( So I went with Scotpen who would adapt & gave great service)..changes and adaptions came when Rappa took control

Was it not that the guys who were the importers/selling agents for them in the UK got the heave by Prattley once they had sold enough/built up the brands reputation in the UK?
In response to Prattley selling them direct, they decided to make their own to sell instead?
