Ive a 3 bay 30 x20 shed needs lights
13ft tall at a guess
Considering 5 ft twin led batton ??
Enough light to see i guess , storage not really work shop


Any wisdom please

I had Barton in my workshop. 16 ft walks and they were pi55poor lights. Good coverage with the two rows at 8 ft apart but never seemed bright enough. Have replaced with ufo leds and couldn’t be happier.

Recently out theses into a very similar shed and very pleased with them and the amount of light.


I’ve also started using kinetic switches which are fully water waterproof and dramatically reduce the amount of wiring needed and installation time.



Basically no waiting from switch back to light. IP67 rated. Can be up to 80m away from light fitting.

How do the kinetic switches work?
I am completely clueless when it comes to electrics. Do they need a wifi connection?

No, basically when you push the switch it creates a micro pulse of electric that transmits to the receiver at the light fitting.

Its very clever stuff and very simple to install. Saves a lot of cable runs from light to switch.

One switch can do multiple lights as well. Ive got about 5 of them in operation now, some over a year old and not been any bother.

Used the above company a lot and fitted 100w (as above), 150w and 200w. All been really good and no fails yet, some been fitted over 4 years now.

I hadn't heard of these "kinetic switches" either. Had a quick google - they seem to be marked by a single main company "ENERJ SMART LTD" trading as "EnerJ". They look like common remote-control switches i.e. wireless control via RF/wifi. Are they something different?
