Hi, I have APHA coming tomorrow for a 48hr inspection. They say they want to see "all stock and medicine and death records" ... can anyone tell me what to expect?
Cheers! Joe
Hi,
The protective coating on the floor of my Ifor Williams flatbed is worn through to the ply in places. (It's dark grey, little circles on it...)
Any ideas how best to repair this to prolong its life?
Cheers
I'd love to see an agroforestry forum within this site.
I'm a member of the UK Agroforestry group on Facebook, but not everyone is on Facebook.
Obviously not every aspect of farming can have it's own forum on here, but I'd just like to make the case! Agroforestry is a growing interest, and...
I just wonder how long people think untreated fenceposts made of larch would last. Obviously there are many factors and there will be a big range, but I've got no idea really -- I know larch is considered a durable timber for exterior use, but then the demands on a post in the ground are much...
I think that one sticky haydog will need a bit of attention. I adjusted the stripper arms - they looked good to me, but maybe an experienced baler doc would give em a tweak. I've been offered more grass to cut, but they want it cut in September and it's on a N facing slope. Might just work out...
@Hesston4860s - thanks ... interesting. String tension from the string box, or on the bale?
Maybe should have said... After I finished the bales I wanted, I tried baling some damp coarse stuff round a shady edge, just to get it out of the road really, but then it will as back to problems...
Update - I got the field baled today. Tinkered around a bit but nothing seemed a decisive fix. Using the MF35 much easier than the Fordson, so I just cracked on. Discovered that I could manually tie the knots when the baler dropped them, which it was doing less and less frequently. Then, it just...
I should also say that it's an intermittent problem. Doesn't do it every time, but often enough to be seriously disruptive!
Think running speed might make a difference? One been using a Fordson Major with no rev counter, but I've got my MF35x back on site now, so can run PTO at 540...
Cheers...
