Yes 6KW each inverter.
Single phase 240V output.
I've been told that the turbine controller sends out over 500V with a power curve that only these Windy boys can cope with. It would be nice to get a different brand of inverter to work though.
That's interesting, I've not had a look behind the cover this time because it tripped it's own circuit breaker and the main one so I assumed it was a major failure. I know a few inverters in the past had a component at the very top which exploded.
I have an Xzeres wind turbine which blows an inverter occasionally. Unfortunately I'm having to wait up to nine weeks for a replacement so I could do with a spare to have on hand.
Anybody on here have a Windyboy they would sell? It's an SMA 6000A.
Did your dealer have the proper Perkins EST software though? If they were only using Massey Wintest software it won't display codes but will show engine load as you mentioned.
First thing I would do is get your dealer to check for engine fault codes with their Perkins service tool.
I don't think a 5455 has any engine fault warning lights anyway.
I'm not sure how significant the error code is but I would be tempted to take the air filters out and give it a sniff of easy start which may get it going the first time and be fine after that.
Have you checked that you still have an o-ring seal on the screw on plastic bowl? I've seen this fall off when changing filters. You'll get a new seal with the plastic cap on the filter.
Have you checked the 60 micron power shuttle filter? The 15 micron filter has a bypass but the inline power shuttle filter can block completely after brake contamination.
I find this interesting too.
The times I have seen the pump fail there was white smoke and difficult starting or wouldn't run at all. I have also seen the ECU on the pump fail and that showed error codes.
Maybe check boost pressure under load, just tee into that hose. Should be about 15psi.
Does the tractor just feel a bit flat? If you had fuel issues I would expect it to surge.
The engine ECU needs to sense turbo boost pressure to increase fueling. It would be easy to check intercooler hose clips which can snap, and check the waste gate actuator on the turbo has good spring tension on it.
I used to be addicted to this thread as a way of keeping up to date with events in Ukraine. However I'm sick of it now due to the constant bombardment from corbynites who are sympathetic to the Russian cause.
Maybe I should start a new thread titled 'Ukraine news and support'.
I think this happened on the 4300 series where they replaced the bronze material with paper to eliminate squawk. It used to block the pencil filter on power shuttle models something terrible.
