If I remember correctly you had managed or were looking to sell carbon credits from your farm, does that mean that if RT and the supermarkets want to measure and use your credits they will be effectively using the equivalent of used petrol!! So if everyone sold there carbon credits first...
Factor in that these pigs now will be 5/6 kg lighter (eaten 20kg less feed) and all the pigs held back on farm that nobody could get a kill slot for and those figures look much worse!
Was told that some of the pig producers that were campaigning on telly during the crisis with pigs backlogged on farms were delisted by at least one processor! Also heard that one processor used info on movement info to abattoir to approach third party growers to fatten for there in house pig...
Around 45 cube for pellets would be more for meal. don’t think those wagons run full as need more space for wheat feed or broiler crumbs etc. seems to be a struggle to get more than 26 ton on a blower now with big heavy units and euro 6 exhausts.

European price. £1.70

Less pigs about next year less demand for feed grain lower...

Karro dropping their contribution price by 5p kg when we all need more to cover the costs doesn’t bode well for the future. Is it profiting or a sign that it’s imported meat that’s keeping a lid on prices.
