Hello all,
We are poultry and sheep farmers and are registered for APHA SMS update messages.
These have been regarding Avian Influenza and now Bluetongue.
We have noted that they often arrive in the evening, sometimes late.
I am concerned that the timings of these could be unescessarily...
Thank you for this. Good topic.
Many of our members are focused on the reduction in the use of antibiotics. But that also includes making sure you are using the correct antibiotics, at the right time doesn't it? Really interesting Thank you.
These are fantastic topics and we definitely have specialists in all of these topic areas. Thank you so much for your views. And I see it is backed up by the "likes" your posts have had. Thanks!
We took part in the Farmers Weekly research that highlighted this. Interestingly there are large numbers of new independent start up practices getting going.
Voice your opinions loudly in your area and I am sure you will attract interest. Where do you Farm out of interest?

Thank you!
Hi,
Wondering if the value of our hen muck has increased? In light of fertiliser price increases? What are people paying?
An increase could potentially offset a miniscule percentage of our other price increases...
Introduction of more primary predators seems like utter madness.
What will that do for biodiversity?
Since the number of raptors increased aim our area, as lovely as they are to see, there has been a serious reduction I'd say, in the number and variety of songbirds.
We are running a sheep scab survey, to research prevalence and more in the UK.
You can access the survey here: https://www.cognitoforms.com/XLVets/FarmerSheepScabSurvey
All responses are anonymous, handful of tick box questions, takes moments to complete, please complete even if you haven't...
