What veterinary podcast topics would be helpful?

Hi,

I work for XLVets, we are a community of independent veterinary practices from across the UK.

We have created two farm podcasts, as the start of a series, the first one is Preparing for Housing Cattle, and the next is Calf Rearing and Housing. Where vets from within the community have shared their thoughts, I think they are fab, but perhaps I am heavily biased!

We have the support of some of the best vets in the country, and we would love to create podcasts that would be really helpful. Do you have ideas of topics you would like our vets to talk about? So we can find the right ones and create really useful and helpful pieces. Is suspect many people will be scratching their heads about something, or know of a neighbour who is doing things differently and would like to find out more.

Please do let me know, any subject considered!

Best wishes,

Susan

Farm Vet Films do a great job already ---why not talk to Josh and ask for help?
Most of your success will come from making it watchable and not just a tedious lecture regardless of the subject matter
Thank you. These will be audio only podcasts. Kaz at Black Sheep who runs Farm Vet Films is actually one of our members. He does an outstanding job. We can certainly speak to him more about it.

Why are all vets getting swallowed up by conglomerates and dumping their large animal customers?

All the vets in our nearest 4 towns just do dogs, cats and feckin gerbils now :banghead::banghead:
We took part in the Farmers Weekly research that highlighted this. Interestingly there are large numbers of new independent start up practices getting going.

Voice your opinions loudly in your area and I am sure you will attract interest. Where do you Farm out of interest?

How to convert a flock from EAE vaccination to EAE accreditation?

How to respond to EAE in a flock that can't use vaccination due to having EAE accredited customers?

(all the guidance say vaccination but vaccination is not premitted by EAE accreditation)

Thank you, this looks really interesting. Definitely not something I was aware. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Really appreciated.

Also look at all the health accreditation schemes as many of them don't have an easy to find document that says how to practically go from infection to be accreditation infection free. It seems that only the easy cases like BVD have been written up and the easy cases have many vats with blogs about them.
