    1995 Claas telehandler

I thought that the ranger was the first claas coloured telehandler. Who made this and is it any good? https://www.troostwijkauctions.com/l/1995-claas-486-verreiker-A1-16932-95

JD 6930 air pocket in hydraulics?

I have had the auxiliary oil tank off for repair on my JD 6930 premium, now it sounds like there is air in the system when I run the macerator on my slurrytank. I didn't fill up the auxiliary oiltank with oil, could there be air trapped in the system, and if so. How do I release it? Thanks.

Is there an app for info on bearings, electrical wire, bolts etc?

I am looking for like bearing size numbers, nuts and bolts sizes and required holes for tapping, torque specs, a list of wire sizes with mm2 to diameter, you name it. Is there a good app for this? Doesn't need to be all glamour, just useable. Something like a machinists handbook like thing. Has...

Post hinge whatchacallit for turnable mudguards

I am fed up with the turnable fenders on my john deeres, expensive, stupid design and prone to breaking. I came across a test of a Ursus and I am impressed by the simplicity of it's turnable fenders so I figures I'd give it a try to make something alike myself. First problem, I need a standing...

Special hydraulic fitting of a Sauter fronthitch

I have recently bought a tractor with zuidberg fronthitch. The hydraulics are plugged in with a banjo fitting behind the valves on the back of the tractor. These banjo fittings are very long making the valves stick out to much for my liking. My other tractor has a sauter fronthitch and is...

Robotic milking, old movies and more.

I was talking to the salesman of the local GEA dealer yesterday about the first robotic milking endeavors. The first robot started working in 1992 at a farmer not so far away from me. I started searching and found an article in a Dutch paper from 2000 and he was still milking with it...

    JD 6830/6930 vs. Case puma

I am considering changing my JD 6610 for something a bit more modern. I bought a 6910 autopowr for fun a couple of years ago and while is does have it's problems I love the cvt and ended up putting a fronthitch/pto on, and now the 6610 is not used much anymore. Since the 6910 is nearing 13k...

    Redrock superflow gearbox

I bought a redrock superflow a while ago and the gearbox shat itself. Nothing big, just a bearing that locked up. I have opened it up, ordered new bearings, jobs a good one. Howeverthat was a year ago and it's still in pieces. I wanted to get it going again but I kind of forgot how. It is kind...

Hedge cutter conversion to the right side.

Recently I was asked to trim some hedges and brambles for some people that I do some contracting work for already. Looking into used machines overhere they are not exactly cheap nor plentifull. Now then, on your side of the pond every farmer seems to have one so it hit me, can they be converted...

Rake height adjustment out of the cab

Anyone build/bodged one? I am looking into a 4 rotor rake but with height adjustment out of the cab they are hard to find. My thinking is, a low rpm high torgue hydraulic motor should do the job, electric is possible but I guess there is a reason most brands do it with hydraulics. Like Clarkson...

    Sanderson teleporter 2

Bumped into this, to be auctioned. https://www.auctionport.be/nl/kavel/verreiker-sanderson/5482 Always liked a cheapo telehandler for fun and 12 meter reach would come in handy sometimes. Is this a good idea for the money?

    Machinery shed build

We have had a good year on the financial side of things. What do you want apart from land? A shed! This is where it goes, the concrete panels on the right are walls to hold muck out of the cowshed next to it.

    Recovering data

I have this pc for my pig feed station and now it stopped working. Keeps the fan running on full tilt and shots off eventually. No problem, I'll buy another cheapie on the nets (the system runs of it's own dedicated computer, this is only for easier access). Anyhow, I did have a small file with...

    36x32 rims

Wanted, rims for 1050/50R32 tyres, ideally one piece rim with 10 holes but anything considered for the right price. If it has useable tyres on I'll consider it but I think shipping might get expensive that way.

    Slow turning metal cutting saw

I have a Kaltenbach saw and after a mistake by my father the actual saw now looks like this. Fortunately I have another goodish one lying around so I am not in a total hole. I don't really see the need for a segmented one like this, but there still is alot to choose from. What number of teeth...

How to crimp without special tools

This is a 14 ish mm pipe crimped on an elastic string. How do I get to this result without having any of the fancy expensive tools? I thought about placing a pipe over it with a hole, put a piece of steel through and push it in with the vice. Any ideas?
