A couple of years ago when Wheat was £140/t you could of bought for example 50 bags of cement, today a ton of wheat (£200) would buy you approx. 40 bags of cement.

That's why I chose a product that hasn't changed, a bag of cement in 2019 has an identical composition to one from 2021.

I agree its low, its unbelievable doesn't tally with real life does it?

Government has always meddled with inflation figures switching between CPI or RPI and altering the baskets of goods.

There is serious wage inflation that will have a big effect and it hasn't been 'priced' in yet.

With HGV drivers commanding £40k/year this sets a base for many other jobs, everyone will want a raise and indeed need it.
