Tbf, these are just the 'Outline Proposals'. According to the co-design email I've received...

"This is not the final scheme but will be the basis for the Co-design that you have kindly agreed to feed into."

Believe that if you will. :censored:

As I read it, albeit quickly, the RPW proposals are for 10% cover of trees (including existing, and presumably hedges) on ALL farms in the ‘universal’ requirements.

And how will tenants get on ? And landlords come to that...........

I expect landlords will be required to allow tenants to plant trees, devaluing their capital asset immediately.

Another requirement is to have a certain area of ponds too.

And another, put in especially for the ploughmen, is that no ground is to be left without a green cover over winter. That’s the end of the dinosaur’s ideas of overwinter ploughing I suppose.🤐

Last week they destroyed tourism with their half baked leftie ideas.........and now this week....Agriculture. They obviously know what's going on in Ukraine, to have been the first to offer accommodation to immigrants. Yet they choose to ignore the up coming food crisis due to hampered grain exports.....
No market that I know of for home grown timber ( biomass ?? ), so how do they expect us to make a living from the 10% forestry ? Will we even be allowed to harvest the trees in future anyway ?Crackers.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
