135 hydraulics basics

I'm getting to grips with an old 135,and have cobbled together a log lifter by welding a 3point linkage frame to an old buckrake from a dead front loader.

Its simple and works well except for the idiot in the cab.
Please don't tell me to RTFM because I haven't got one,but could someone explain how to use the hydraulics properly.
I can get the up and down ok (duh) but cannot get the lower arms to stay put.
They creep down or up all the time.
What am I going wrong?

Thamks.for the manual !
Looking at the controls though mine doesn't have the inner quadrant so how is the position controlled?

It has to have the inner quadrant lever. They all had. It's the position lever which you need to use to lift up and down and hold the arms.Look and see if the top of the inner lever has broken off.ie the knob. If it's broken off,it'll need replacing or a piece of thin flat steel welded on to bring it back up above the quadrant plate.
Then pull the outer draft lever full back and leave it there and control the arms up and down with the inner position lever.
