Well I never caused them to have a court case, but came close, I held the record for the worst attendance in the school, I wonder if my record has ever been broken?Is that hereditary?......

My Great grandmother was born in 1832, so somehow I thought everyone elses great grandmother must be about the same age....sorry!

I used to volunteer with a two CABs too, the larger one had access to LexisNexis and other legal data firms, worth a try.
I used to use LexisNexis / lexis library a lot, no idea what a subscription costs now, certainly not worth getting unless its serious, and if that is the case it would be cheaper to go to your local solicitor and get them to do a search. That written, since I have been non-practicing I just google for any info' I need, 99% of the time a few minutes searching can obtain a remarkable amount of information.
Not all civil - or criminal - cases were reported in local press, generally there had to be something or someone of interest in a case for it to be reported or, alternatively, it had to be a slow news day and the column inches had to be filled...
