Hi,
I was working in the machine today and hit the fan button to clear the window. Once I did this the machine stopped. There is now no power going to the dash when I turn the ignition key. When I hit the hazard lights and lights they work but no power when key is turned. I’ve checked the fuses in the dash but they are all fine. Anyone any ideas or could point me in the right direction? Thanks

Could be a relay or any number of things, but I'd have a look at the ignition switch.
That’s the problem. I took the cover off the top of the ignition switch but it’s spaghetti junction ?! There are a number of relays in there but it’s finding the faulty one if that is the case

Would a bad earth still leave power on the dash for the lights and hazards? I’m gonna try starting at the battery and heading back with the voltmeter to see where the power ends. If anyone has anything other ideas I’d appreciate the heads up.

Your machine may be too old for the fuses by the battery - but if it does have them you can not miss them - above positive terminal in a block.

It'll be a old school 535-120 with engine under the boom I expect.

Battery connections
Main power feeds of starter motor which will go to cab

Also a bunch of multi pin plugs in the front outside of cab behind panel if its model I think it is.

Correct engine under the boom. Your right with battery and there is a panel at the front of the cab where pin plugs are on the outside behind a panel. Any ideas?

As you say doubtful it is battery but if I have something with electric problems
I always check easy things first
Also look for relay with burnt casing also same with connections and cable that could have rubbed against something

Seems strange that switching heater fan on could cause such a failure - you would expect it to blow Fan Fuse if it was seized, - where in the country are you?
