Wet day across many northern and western areas in particular with rain or showers, winds increasing too, drier and brighter weather across E England and SE England just the odd shower here possible later. All areas mild or very mild, highs 13C/55F.


Wednesday


Another very mild and unsettled day for many areas with rain and showers moving south and east as the day but with some drier weather, for a time ,more likely across E England and SE England before wet and very windy arrives here later. A very mild day for most but turning cooler across the north and west later. Severe warning for wind with gusts to 70mph + in the south west Highs of 13C/55F.

Outlook for the rest of the week:
Much colder with Showers, with some of the showers tuning wintry over the hills night frosts.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
