Hi all, I have the above tractor which has lost drive in both directions. It did this in my yard and I noticed a yellow warning light (looks like lightening emblem) displaying at the time. I have not begun to investigate yet so just fishing for ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks.

Usually means electrical fault with the transmission .
possibly check, alternator , I think from memory the transmission ecu needs to see voltage output from alternator to wake up.
Could possibly be a duff speed sensor or solenoid.

Could be the solenoids or even the shuttle lever. If it’s the transmission Ecu then a new one needs to be programmed on the tractor by the dealer something I have found out to my cost. Usually either one or the other (solenoids) will give up so swapping them around will give some idea of the problem but if both it seems that no power is getting through.

Thanks for the feedback so far, I will investigate all and feedback.
@ Quavers - Not sure which damper you are referring too.......
between the clutch and the engine takes the shock out of the drive when changing gear , but re reading your first post , dont think this is the problem as sure it was the oil light that came on when it went on my tractor and not the light you are describing

Great info - I will obviously check these.

FYI and just to be clear, the tractor starts but will not select a gear. Hopefully the power shuttle lever is the issue. Fingers crossed then. I will have more time to assess mid next week and I will update you all.

Thank you.

Brilliant, thanks for the tips. Its reassuring not to hear anyone suggesting internal transmission trouble, phew.

I will get time on her mid next week AND keep you all posted. I'll pop a case of your favourite tipple in the post should any one of you have nailed it (y)

So I went to have a look this afternoon and tried to start the tractor - Nothing despite a fully charged battery. Could be a red herring or maybe pointing to the BOC switch?

Check below the gear leaver there is a connector for the wires there that sometimes pops apart, we have cabled tied ours shut after I got stuck on the loading ramp at the abattoir!!!

Update; I have checked the connector at the bottom of the gearshift lever and the red power in was open circuit (completely broken. I will reconnect along with the other wires which all look rough and feedback. Thanks everybody.

Hi Folks, I seem to have fixed the transmission issue as that warning light no longer appears with IGN on. However the saga isn't over jet as I cannot get the engine to crank on startup. PTO is in neutral, gears are neutral, shuttle is in neutral and foot on the clutch, but nothing when I turn the key to crank, no clicks beeps or bugger all!!!

Theres a wire that is notorious for coming off starter on celtis's (spade connector) worth a look
