Im going to clik lambs this week, much later and i will be waiting for the 40 day withdrawal to run over before killing. Used some clikzin last year and whats left i will use on singles again. Id just use the clik extra stuff to get to the end of august protection if its no too dearer. Any prices yet?

That works clik out at 75p-89p /head for lambs and between £1.11-£1.38/head for ewes depending on weights.

And clikzin at 64p-76p/head for lambs and 96p-£1.36/head for ewes depending on weights.

I make it £1.29 at the maximum dose rate for ewes.

Even at that, seemingly extortionate, price it still looks cheaper than dipping the 2 or 3 times you’d need to the length of blowfly cover.

I assume that’s the point you were trying to make?;)

No not really was just thinking out loud ?, It has a 6 week minimum cover but depending were sheep are located it can sometimes last for fly control for up to 9-10 weeks if correctly mixed and replenished ,but the added bouns with dipping means you are covering 5 treatments in one go not just the one when and works out at 29p/head cheaper

Clikzin is £120/5litre and not £110 like I said earlier, just checked the invoice. Unfortunately being organic I can’t use Clik/Extra.

The patent has expired on standard clik, so from autumn 2020 any company can produce a version of “clik” (and therefore reduce prices!)
Elanco increased the concentration of ai to launch “clik extra” with a new patent. Others can’t copy this and the marketing machine will push that we can’t do without it... at a price!

heard irish company was well ahead on bringing this out . thought it would have been here by now , but if patent isnt out yet makes sense . Im quite happy with standard click here as dont do lambs till late may and rarely get issues in october , ewes arnt dont till july either .
will be game changer priced around double (as near double cover)

If you were to do them earlier With Clik Extra, could you get away with using less though?

dont really need to do them earlier , we are at 750' and generally shear mid end may so can do lambs and vax at same time , sooner have cheaper product , though buying other stuff like vecoxin the generics are only a couple £ cheaper anyway .
