It's on the market today - not in some speculative future - so has to compete with existing vehicles. It falls short.

We left the EU remember.

You're kidding yourself if you think nobody will need to tow anything. Hauliers just let you down, been there far too many times, and most can't get in here anyway
We may have left the EU, but still follow their vehicle standards and rules
Time will tell fella

Apart from the backache problem which is a bit different, the rest of your points - was a salesman holding a gun to your head making you buy something that you didn`t like the look of?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:? Joking apart a vehicle that had to be "lifted" from my yard 3 times would not have fond memories for me - probably be classed as a nightmare..! The "toys" aren`t a priority ( far from it!) here but reliability is - we like things that work when we want them here...
I take it you’re a Toyota salesman?

The unreliability of the Ford did irk me and was the main reason I switched back to a Hilux. I figured that I could live with the other stuff if the thing went every morning. Now I’m left with the worst of both worlds - an unreliable vehicle which is awful to drive.

Further edit - got it back on Friday after a manual DPF regen only for all the lights to come back on again after 20 miles. Needs new injectors now apparently, so that’ll be a third visit to the dealer in as many weeks. Reverse camera still not fixed either - the lady in the dealership told me it’s the fault of the after-market towbar and not covered under warranty, when I pointed out it was them that had fitted the towbar her face dropped slightly, “let me speak to the manager”…

Toyota dealer`s are not my favourite subject!! Does it still drive with the Christmas lights on? Is the warranty covering all the :poop:? Lucky for you THEY fitted the towbar!!

You may jest, but I know some folk that do. It's hard up in the hills.🤣
We still have tractors on link boxes in these parts. Indeed I passed two on the road yesterday, which is odd both because I don’t go out much at this time of the year and also because I can’t remember when I last saw one before yesterday. Good old MF35 from a farm less than two miles away and a 135 whose owner I don’t know, about fifteen miles away. The 35 was taking cake to some sheep by the look of it. The owner has a LR90 that I know of.
