You could get a early claas axion 850 for less than 30k dyna 6 back end and 260hp
i suppose its hard to beat them when you get to that type of power ,are filters and general wearing parts expensive, because we are new holland at the moment and the parts seem to be half other makes, i get trade on nhYou would not get a better tractor for your job and them fendt tractors are bullet proof
nice tractor but im not a massey manMaybe not as much power as you are wanting but I am thinking of selling this 7495, it is a 2009 and has done 7800 hours and is immaculate
No more money than any other parts , some things are cheaper, best vario box you can geti suppose its hard to beat them when you get to that type of power ,are filters and general wearing parts expensive, because we are new holland at the moment and the parts seem to be half other makes, i get trade on nh
are the older 924 favorit any good i know where there is one with 15,500 hrs and i think they are lovely looking ,i had a 7810 autopower and it wasn't nice to drive but the vario was brilliant in the fieldNo more money than any other parts , some things are cheaper, best vario box you can get
MF 8280 are a solid old tractor if you can find a later model with the heavier dana front axle they have full diff lock earlier ones had the lighter limited slip zf front axle. Big AG 250 funk powershift and dual planetary and dual brake rear end. We have one other than a few electrical issues eg linkage switches and a few pto seals they are solid and reliable, big gutsy 8.4 sisu with mechanical injector pump the very last models came out with common rail they were badged with the word EXTRA on the bonnet.... cheershere is a question,im wondering about buying a tractor 250hp to 300 hp to pull a forage wagon the budget is max 30,000 40kor 50k yearand make not important,a bit of weight would be needed any replies and discussion would be appreciated

a 7060 would be ideal ,but lately the reliability of the t7s is questionablenot a fan of masseys ?
looks like it would be handy in a tight yard/lanes/gates
NH are boosted horse power so maybe a little under horsepowered?
7060 would be my pick after a quick search on aggrifaires.
enjoy spending someone else's money

A Mangum 7250 is gonna be great on a wagon, for about 3 hours before you lose the will to live, all those gear and direction changes and a driving at a fair lick is going to be a pain in the neck in time. I'm not sure an MX270 or the later shape ones is gonna be all that great either. As Chae said, I think I would look for a more modern machine like a T7060 which has the size and grunt but also come creature comforts. I've carted silage with one a lot in the past and it was just as comfortable to drive in that job as anything smaller.
Not that up on all the models tbh but the case number on bonnet is before boost eg my puma 240 is 270hp on boost the equivalent of a t7-270 a puma 230 is just the older model so 230 plus boost same as t7-260Not sure tbh. @Zebbedee would know.
Think it's a puma 230? It would be equivalent to 7070 though.
Mark Hellier often has a few big Case and new Holland tractors for sale.
250 to 300 hp tractors at 20 years old will mostly either have tracks or be massive articulated cultivation tractors for prairie work.i dont mind if its 20 year old
most tractors have power beyond our present tractors are 22 year old and they hav load sensingWould you not want power beyond on the machine too tokeep the hydraulic oil cool ? Would this narrow the search abit?
there are plenty of tractors in the budget a lot of makes and models mentioned last night that would suit ,250 to 300 hp tractors at 20 years old will mostly either have tracks or be massive articulated cultivation tractors for prairie work.
You might find a Case 8950 or similar around, but they will be like hen's teeth. More choice of younger ones available and the Case and NHT7 270 are good bets.
