3 Phase cable

I want to run 3 phase from one building to another a distance of roughly 30 meters.

Now I have some 3 phase cable here that is long enough, the question is its the stuff they brought the overhead line in with. Can i use this? It has 3 cores, a copper core (earth) then lots of small blue cables (neutral) can the small neutrals be fixed together at each end or does it need to be a thicker single core neutral?

Picture here to help you understand.

Is your cable the stuff that the grid operator uses underground for incoming supply? By all accounts they do not use ordinary SWA cable, was told this by Western Power last week whilst sorting a meter move, shall find out in due course.

you are allowed to use two core for supply, the armour being earth as well as protection, but only above a certain core size, there is a table listing the requirements, with the cable shown the blues join together to form the neutral,

Yes it is. It will be going in ducting underground.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
