A warning to anyone on 3 phase supply. If a trip goes reset it. If it goes again call Western power or you network operator.

I had the compressor keep tripping out under load so called engineers. 2 hour wait. All ok to isolator. But variation in voltages.
So call WP they said no supply issues so called electrian 2 hour wait. who then tested back to supply to find out we had 400, 380 and 360 volts per phase.

So called WP switch to genny and found out a fuse was breaking down.

So i have two bills for £200 5 hours running the genny and 12 hoursof my time sorting out the issue.
What are Western Power going to do?
SWEET f**k ALL! as i should have called them at 9am when the trip wouldn't stay in.

So EVERY time a trip won't stay in i will be on the phone to them day or night!

400, 380,360 volts per phase, you mean across phases surely?
Have recently had huge problems on a site going back to last September . The DNO, EDF has been monitoring and discoved volts per phase ranging 170- 305 , up to 500 across phases :eek::eek:
They are only now taking action
We have in the last year lost 4 inverters I am not overly optimistic of compensation . Luckily Fronius have been good in sending new units FOC but we have had to pay a sparkie to fit them.

WPD will never admit to having a problem. Need to stay friendly with the guys that turn up to a call but they have to refer back to the 'office'. The imbalance between the high voltage phases is the problem, 360v is low. And I am not an electrian.

We have had long standing issues including generating no solar for 6months last year (all the spring and summer months) and stuff exploding (freezer control panel melted about a month ago) and got sod all compensation and basically told to jog on by everyone. My total damage and loss will be north of £5k

Which fuse was breaking down? They don’t like it much when you go up the pole and change the transformer fuse whilst standing in the telehandler bucket

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
