I have a tenant who lets us use his 3 tonne kubota when its not on a job.

We make sure we look after it and always return it greased, fueled up and generally tidier than it was when we receive it.

We often only use it for a few hours here and there and then sometimes may use it for a full day or two.

I would like to pay for the use as don't like taking advantage. I thought I could make a note of the machine hours and pay per hour of use.

What do you think is a fair price? bearing in mind we dont have to pay for transport but equally cant plan work as don't know when it may or may not be available

Thanks

I hire out a 1.5 tonner at £10 per clock hour. Not making much at that but it’s only to a select few who treat it like there own.

Can hire a 1.8t machine for £300 a 7 day week includes trailer for picking up and dropping off through one of the big hire companies. No point buying one at that money
