3m rotovator

In about 18mths time our current organic stewardship comes to a end and there will be around 50acres of rough grazing to reclaim back to some decent grass, ploughing is not an option as there is a lot of stones and some of it has a tendency to blow away ! Used to to loads with a rotovator and it always worked well, anyhow where would be the best place to source a 3m hd rotovator with a packer on it ? My idea is to mount a small seeds drill on it and sow a rape/grass mix

Do you want new or used. Got a kuhn 3 metre combi tiller with straight blades i would sell does a good job and stones don't bother it at all. Bought discs few years ago not used for 3 years

I think I’d be looking at a set of heavy discs for this job rather than a rotovator but may take several passes

Don't forget to do you EIA first.

If your not going to plough then numerous passes will be required to "break" the turf down over a time period.

We have tried a field with a set of discs and plough this year. Disced land has more grass poking through atm.
If I remember I will take some pictures when I go past.
